Athlete will continue to add 3 reps to each movement until 7 minutes expires.

Women's Barbell Weight 25 lbs

 

Athlete will continue to add 3 reps to each movement until 7 minutes expires.

NOTES:

THERE IS NO TIE BREAKER

This workout begins with the barbell on the floor and the athlete seated in chair or box. After the call of “3, 2, 1 … go,” the athlete may perform 3 Shoulder press, then 3 chest-to-bar pull-ups. The athlete will repeat this couplet, performing 6 shoulder press and 6 C2B pull-ups, 9 and 9, 12 and 12, and so on, until the 7-minute time cap.

The athlete’s score will be the total number of repetitions completed before the time cap expires.

Workout Standards

MOVEMENT STANDARDS

CHEST TO BAR PULL-UP

Athlete will start on Chair or box under the pull up bar. The athlete will then slide off chair or box to set up in full Hang position feet can remain on the floor. Each rep must start with this full arm extended hang position, butt off floor and arms at full extension. At the top of the rep athlete must clear collar bone above pull up bar and make contact with body and  bar below the collarbone to be considered a successful rep. The athlete then must return to starting position in full Hang before attempting next rep. Athlete may rest in chair between reps but before starting next rep they must reach full hang at the bottom again. 

Butterfly, kipping, Strict, switch grip or chin up grip are all acceptable as long as the above standards are met

 

THE SHOULDER PRESS

The Barbell will start on the floor before first rep of each set. The athlete will lift the first rep to a cleaned position. Barbell must start below the chin top of the shoulder before moving through the press  at the top of the rep finishing directly over head. The top of the rep will consist with elbows locked out, Barbell directly over shoulders and athlete sitting tall in the seat with shoulders over hips. Each rep must start withbarbell passing below the chin touching the shoulder.

 

The Seated Pull-Up - Scaled

Athlete will start with feet on floor or un chair under the pull up bar.  Each rep must start at a height with full arm extension in seated position. At the top of the rep athlete must clear chin above pull up bar to be considered a successful rep. The athlete then must return to starting position before attempting next rep. Athlete may rest in chair before starting next rep.

Butterfly, kipping, Strict, switch grip or chin up grip are all acceptable as long as the above standards are met

• Plates to load to the appropriate weight for your division*

• Pull-up bar

* The official weight is in pounds. For your convenience, the minimum acceptable weights in kilograms are 45 kg (100 lb.), 35 kg (75 lb.) 29 kg (65 lb.), 25 kg (55 lb.) 20 kg (45 lb.) and 15 kg (35 lb.).

For each workout, be sure the athlete has adequate space to safely complete all the movements. Clear the area of all extra equipment, people or other obstructions. Any athlete who in any way alters the equipment or movements described in this document or shown in the workout standards video may be disqualified from the competition.

 

VIDEO SUBMISSION STANDARDS: Rx Only

Prior to starting, film the pull-up bar, plates and barbell to be used so the loads can be seen clearly. All video submissions should be uncut and unedited in order to accurately display the performance. A clock or timer with the running workout time clearly visible should be in the frame throughout the entire workout. Shoot the video from an angle so all exercises can be clearly seen meeting the movement standards. Videos shot with a fisheye lens or similar lens may be rejected due to the visual distortion these lenses cause
