Workout

In 7 minutes, complete as many rounds as possible of:

11 Pull Ups

11 Burpees-Over-Bar

*Men’s RX category perform Chest-to-Bar Pull Ups in place of Pull Ups

**Women’s Scaled category perform Jumping Pull Ups in place of Pull Ups

 

Workout Standards

Scoring:

  • Event is scored based on total number of reps completed for each movement.

 

Movement:

Chest-to-Bar Pull Up

  • Movement begins with arms at full extension

  • Movement ends with the chin crossing the horizontal plane of the bar and the chest contacting the bar at any point below the collarbone.

  • Any grip is allowed

 

Pull Up

  • Movement begins with arms at full extension

  • Movement ends with the chin crossing the horizontal plane of the bar

  • Any grip is allowed

 

Jumping Pull Ups

  • Movement begins with athlete holding on to the bar while standing on a box, knees bent, arms fully extending.

  • Movement ends with the chin crossing the horizontal plane of the bar

  • Any grip is allowed

  • Measuring box height for jumping pull-ups: when the athlete is standing on the box, feet flat, shoulder width apart, arms fully extending overhead, the pull-up bar should be in line with the athlete’s wrist bones.

 

Burpees-over-Bar

  • Chest, hips, and feet must come in contact with the ground.

  • Athletes must jump over the bar with both feet in the air.

  • Step overs are not allowed.

  • Athletes do not need to come to full extension at the top of the Burpee.

  • Movement is ended and the rep is counted when the athlete has landed on the other side of the bar.

  • If athlete steps over, he/she will need to redo the Burpee, at either side.

  • Athletes must land on their feet on the other side of the bar before starting their next rep.

  • Barbell must be loaded to standard height above the ground. If athletes choose to load it with the small metal plates instead, they must use another bar (loaded at standard height) for their Bar Over Burpees. Failing to follow this may result in penalty.
