VIDEO SUBMISSION STANDARDS

Prior to starting, film the plates and barbell to be used so the loads can be seen clearly. Film the height of the rope and mark it clearly with tape. The video must include PART A & B in the same continuos video. All video submissions should be uncut and unedited in order to accurately display the performance. A clock or timer with the running workout time clearly visible should be in the frame throughout the entire workout. Shoot the video from an angle so all exercises can be clearly seen meeting the movement standards. Videos shot with a fisheye lens or similar lens may be rejected due to the visual distortion these lenses cause.

  • Plates to load to the appropriate weight for your division

For each workout, be sure the athlete has adequate space to safely complete all the movements. Clear the area of all extra equipment, people or other obstructions.

Any athlete who in any way alters the equipment or movements described in this document or shown in the workout standards video may be disqualified from the competition.


Workout Standards

Part A:

With a 12 Minute clock counting up:

This workout begins with the barbell on the floor and the athlete standing tall. At the call of “3, 2, 1 … go,” the athlete will perform As many rounds as possible for 6 minutes of 3 Hang Power Cleans, 2 Shoulder to Overhead and the 1 Rope climb. They will repeat this Triplet for a total of 6 minutes. During Part A of the workout, only the athlete may handle their equipment, and the rope must be clearly marked at the designated height per division.

Score will be recorded in total reps. example 1 rd = 6 reps so 3 rds would equal 18 reps.

At completion of PART A athlete will immediately start PART B for the remainder of 6 minutes.


MOVEMNT STANDARDS:

STANDING LOWER:

HANG POWER CLEAN

For the Power clean is a hang-to shoulder any way. A hang muscle clean, hang power clean, hang squat clean or hang split clean may be used to get the bar to the shoulders,  The barbell begins on the ground. The barbell must come to hang position before starting rep. the bar must then move to front rack position (elbows in front of the bar and bar on the shoulders with the hips, knees fully extended, and the bar directly over the middle of the body. I, each repetition must begin with the barbell clearly above the knees in a hang position. The barbell must come to front rack position with the hips, knees fully extended, and the bar directly over the middle of the body.


STANDING ATHLETES WILL BE ALLOWED TO USE ANY DEVICE TO REPLACE A LIMB IN ANY WORKOUT.

SHOULDER TO OVERHEAD 

Bar must start touching the shoulder. Athlete will then press, push press, push jerk or split jerk the bar directly over the mid line with arms fully locked out and legs returned to full extension of the knees and hips directly under the shoulders. Locked out will consist of elbows locked, bar over head knees and hips at full extension. The bar will then return to shoulder touching the collar bone before starting next rep.

ROPE CLIMB:

Athlete will start standing on floor under the rope. Athlete must then climb to identified height per division. athlete must clearly touch identified marker at top of climb and then control decent to bottom to successfully complete rep.
