Workout Standards


Men : 2 Dumbbells 22,5kg

Women : 2 dumbbells 15kg



·         One pair of dumbbells of appropriate weight for your division*†

For each workout, be sure the athlete has adequate space to safely complete all the movements. Clear the area of all extra equipment, people or other obstructions.



You can after the call of “3, 2, 1 ... go,” the athlete will grab the Dumbbells and start snatching. After 12 reps are completed, the athlete will move to the burpees.

The athlete’s score for the wod 2 will be the time required to complete  3 rounds of :

12 snatches Dbs

12 burpees over Dbs

12 squats with Dbs.

If the athlete does not complete all the repetitions before the 12-minute cap, he or she will add the repetitions remaining to do to the 12 minutes time. For example, the athlete completed 2 rounds and  24 repetitions, his/her score would be 12 :12, as 12 reps were not completed at the end of the Time Cap.   


Double dumbbel snatch



The Double Dumbbell Snatch is performed to a similar standard as a single arm dumbbell snatch.  The athlete performs the exercise with two dumbbells instead of one. A successful rep starts with the dumbbells in contact with the the ground and finishes with both of them locked out overhead, with the athlete’s knees and hips fully extended. The dumbbell’s must be lifted overhead in one swift motion, not touching the hip, torso or shoulders in any way. At the bottom, only one head of each dumbbell needs to touch the ground. Touch and go is permitted.



Each burpee must be performed beside the dumbbells. The chest and thighs touch the ground at the bottom. The next rep will begin on the opposite side of the dumbbells.


The athlete must jump latteraly from both feet and land on both feet. One-footed jumping or stepping is not permitted. A take-off  and a latéral move is required, as seen in the video.

DB squat

The rep begins from the top, with knees and hips extended and dumbbells on the shoulders. A muscle clean into a squat is allowed. The dumbbells must be held on the shoulders. There is no requirement to maintain a grip on the dumbbell the entire time.

At the bottom of the squat, the hip crease must pass below the knees. At the top, the hips and knees must be fully extended. Only one pair of dumbbells may be used .
