8 Double Dumbbell Box Step Overs (20"/24")

In the time remaining of each minute 
Max Double Dumbbell Push Press.

Continue until 75 Double DB Push Press are complete.

Your score is the time when 75 DBL DB push press are complete!


Dumbbell weights for both movements are 
 15/22.5kg per hand

Find a heavy clean and jerk of choice


Workout Standards

  • 2 scores - A and B

Score 1: Part A - For time (16min cap)
(If capped here, your score for Part A is Cap plus the total DB push press reps completed,  Eg. CAP plus 68 DB Push press)

Score 2: Part B - For weight (in time remaining)

  • Score 1 to be logged here under EVENT 2 - Part A
  • Score 2 to be logged under EVENT 2 - Part B

    DUMBBELL BOX STEP OVERS

  • Dumbbell begins on the ground in front of the box.

  • When stepping up and over the box, both feet must make contact with the top of the box for each repetition to count.

  • Dumbbells to be held by your side, not on shoulders

     

  • Box heights are 20" for the ladies and 24" for the men

  • Athletes are not required to stand tall on top of the box.

    DUMBBELL PUSH PRESS

  • The dumbbells must travel from the front rack position on the shoulders to a locked out overhead position with elbows, knees and hips fully extended and feet in line with each other.

  • Athletes bend their knees and hips to reach a quarter squat, and without pausing at the bottom of the dip, forcefully extend the hips and knees and drive the dumbbells up over head.

    CLEAN AND JERK
  • In this movement, the barbell goes from the ground to the front rack position then to the overhead position.

  • Movement is completed when the athlete comes to a standing position with knees and hips fully extended with the barbell overhead and the arms fully extended at the elbows and shoulders.

  • This may be a full or power clean. 


    RULES
  • Athletes are not permitted to have help loading the bar. 
  • Barbell can be pre loaded

  • Lift must be complete before the buzzer for the rep to count
