40M shuttle run with 3 point touch (in 10m intervals)

10 front squats

1 x 4 kg dumbbell for both M & F

10 front squats with broomstick

NOTE: Prior to starting this workout, a distance of 10 metres will need to be measured out and marked on the floor for the shuttle run portion of the workout.

 

Workout Standards

At the call of “3, 2, 1…go!” the athlete will commence 40 metre shuttle runs. These begin behind the marked line and there must be three points of contact over the line at the end of the 10 m. increment before turning back to complete the next 10 metre increment (one foot and both hands
must be over the line). Once 4 laps of the 10m shuttle run have been performed, the athlete performs 10 front squats. This will be repeated 4 more times for a total of 5 rounds.
The workout ends at the completion of 5 rounds or the time cap of 8 minutes is reached.


Score is time taken to complete the five rounds.

If the workout was not completed within the time
cap, the score is number of total reps completed.
