Equipment

  • Barbell
  • Bumper Plates & collars
  • Pull-up bar

*For athletes using lb bars and plates, please use the minimum accepted conversions from below*

Men: 55kg: 125lb

Women: 35kg: 80lb

Scoring & Submission Deadline

For all athletes: The athlete’s score will be the total number of repetitions completed within the 8-minute time cap.

For teams: Each of the 4 athletes will complete this workout as individuals and the team’s score will be the accumulated total repetitions completed by all 4 athletes, within the 8-minute time cap.

Submission deadline: Friday 29th June 23:59 (GMT+3 - Cyprus Time)

 

Video Submission Standards

Prior to starting, film bar and all plates so the weights can be clearly seen throughout the duration of the video. All video submissions should be uncut and unedited in order to accurately display the performance.

A clock or timer with the running workout time clearly visible should be in the frame throughout the entire workout. Shoot the video from an angle so all exercises can be clearly seen meeting the movement standards.

Thruster

  • With the bar in the front rack position, the athlete must pass through a full squat with hips below the knees before pressing overhead.
  • The thruster must be performed in one fluid movement with no pausing or stopping at any portion.
  • Each rep is counted when the barbell comes to full lockout overhead, with the hips, knees and elbows fully extended, and the bar over the mid-line of the body.

Bar Facing Burpee

  • Each burpee must be performed perpendicular to and facing the barbell.
  • The athlete’s head cannot be over the barbell at the bottom of the movement.
  • The chest and thighs must touch the ground at the bottom.
  • The athlete must jump over the barbell with a two-footed takeoff and landing.
  • The athlete may step up from the ground, but onefooted jumping or stepping over the bar is not permitted.
  • The next rep will begin on the opposite side, facing the barbell.

Toes To Bar

  • At the start of each rep, the arms must be fully extended with the feet off the ground, brought back behind the bar and the rest of the body.
  • Each rep is counted when both feet come into contact with the bar at the same time, inside the grip of the hands.
