Event description

 

Be a part of the UK’s first swimming based competition. The competition will involve workouts with swimming as a feature in each workout. Don’t need to be a swimmer, just need to be able to swim 25m of your choice of stroke in one go unaided.


Try something new and different!

Format: Mixed Pairs (1 male / 1 female)

The workouts will all be pool based using other equipment on the poolside or even in the pool!!

Cost: £90 / pair & £5 spectator tickets

Requirements: You must be able to swim 25m unaided and over 18 years old

FAQ: The team captain must sign up and pay for the while team. Please enter the deatails of athlete 2 in the Teamate 1 field.

Scoring: For Time: Fastest is Better | Time Cap: 10 | Tiebreaker: No of reps completed if after time cap

For time:

  • 15 x sandbag to shoulder (60kg / 40kg)
  • 50m swim (both athletes swim)
  • 10 x sandbag to shoulder (60kg / 40kg)
  • 50m swim (both athletes swim)
  • 5 x sandbag to shoulder (60kg / 40kg)
  • 50m swim (both athletes swim)

*on each swim both athletes pick up a plate from bottom of pool (15kg / 10kg) and lift above surface.

** athletes can split sandbag reps between them as they see fit.

*** 10 minute time cap

Scoring: For Time: Fastest is Better | Time Cap: 10 | Tiebreaker: Reps completed if after time cap

For time:

Complete 6 rounds (3 rounds each)

  • 10 DB Thrusters (17.5kg / 10kg)
  • 25m swim
  • 5 pool muscle ups

*10 minute time cap

 

Scoring: For Time: Fastest is Better | Time Cap: 10 | Tiebreaker: Distance completed if over time cap

For time:

  • 100m swim
  • 100 cal bike
  • 100m swim

*athletes must split swim equally

** 10 minute time cap

Scoring: For Repetitions: More is Better

AMRAP 12 minutes:

  • 100m swim
  • 20 hand release down ups
  • 30 ALT DB snatch (17.5kg / 10kg)
  • 40 ab mat sit ups
  • 50 plate GTOH (15kg / 10kg)

*athletes can split reps as necessary
