The 4th Annual APA Guns N Hoses Fitness Competition is designed to test our athletes in a wide range of fitness challenges. Each workout will test athletes in combinations of cardiovascular, strength, power, endurance and general physical ability. Each team will compete in three WOD’s (Workout of the Day) to be announced prior to the event.

Registration: $170 per team, plus processing fees.

Entry fee includes team entry for 2 person team, 3 scored events with full access to online scoring, 2 event shirts, 2 tickets for the beer garden, access to all event photos, sponsor goody bags at check-in, access to vendor village, and the opportunity to compete at a unique location alongside our heroes. Prizes for top teams in each division.

Substitutions and division changes can be made until 3/23/18. Please make all changes by logging in to the Competition Corner website.

All proceeds of this event will benefit the Anaheim Police Survivors' and Scholarship Fund (S&S Fund). The objectives and purposes of the fund is to: assist the immediate families of officers injured or killed in the line of duty; provide college scholarships to students entering college; and, memorialize police officers killed in the line of duty.  The S&S Fund is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, Federal Tax ID #95-3493593.

An athlete must complete a minimum of three hang power cleans before tagging their partner.

Then at 2:00, start 10 minute AMRAP:
1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9...

  • Push Press
  • Toes To Bar
  • Chest To Bar Pull Ups
  • +Run around tower to start each round

- General Rules -

Rx: 135#/95#
Scaled/Masters: 115#/75#, toes to ring, chin over bar pull ups
Rookie: 75#/55#, hanging knee raises, jumping chin over bar pull ups

An athlete must complete the entire round they are on before tagging their partner to move onto the next round. Each round increases by 1 rep following the run around the tower. The run is approximately 65-90m.

Scoring: For Weight: Heavier is Better | Tiebreaker: Individual Weight (lowest)

Each team will have 6 minutes to build to their individual 3RM front squat. Each athlete must establish an individual 3RM.

The movement will start from the floor (no racks), so each athlete must clean the bar to the front rack before attempting the front squat.

Any clean to the front rack is acceptable and the first rep may be a squat clean.

The set starts over if the bar is dropped before completing all three reps.

Scoring: For Time: Fastest is Better | Time Cap: 8
