Hello Fitness Fanatics

 

Desert Warfare 2017 is scheduled for October 14,2017 from 7am to 3pm. This will be a 4 person Team Competition, (2 males and 2 females).

 

There will be 3 Divisions: Novice/Fun, Intermediate, and Rx.

 

This event has been designed for all levels of fitness; doable for the novice athletes and challenging for the Intermediate and Rx athletes.

 

The weather last year was absolutely perfect and we expect the same this year. CrossFit BeeHive is closer than you think. We are a short 30-minute drive from Victoria Gardens in Rancho Cucamonga.

The first 6 minutes, the men will do work followed immediately by the women finishing up the final 6 minutes of the workout. Every Minute on the Minute athletes will switch places from rowing to barbell work. Score for Event #1 [Row, Row, Row Your Boat (A)]: will be the total number of calories rowed by the entire team. Score for Event #2 [Row, Row, Row Your Boat (B)]:will be the total number of completed reps by the entire team.

Scoring: For Weight: Heavier is Better

Event #3 Double Deuce 2RM BEAR COMPLEX Men will have 6 minutes for both men to reach a 2RM Bear Complex. At the 6 min mark, the Females will have 6 minutes to find a 2RM Bear Complex. Continuous time clock. Score will be the combination of the totals of Mens 2RM as well as the Females 2RM combined weight. NOTE: You must reach full depth on your squats and reach full lock out on the presses. PUSH JERKS ARE NOT ALLOWED and will be called a NO REP if done. You MAY NOT regrip or rest the bar on the floor in between reps. Resting and regipping the bar while the bar is off of the ground will be allowed.

Scoring: For Time: Fastest is Better

Event #4 RIDE OR DIE 12 min time Cap Event #4: Air Bike for max Calories Score for Event #4 will be Max Calories on the Air Bike.

Scoring: For Repetitions: More is Better

Event #5 RIDE OR DIE 12 min time Cap Event #5: 30 (Rx:Ring Muscle Ups, Int: Chest to Bar, Novice/Fun: Pull Ups) 30 Burpee Box Jump Overs (Rx: 30"/24", Int: 24"/20", Novice/Fun: 20") 30 Overhead Squats (32/24kg, 24/16kg, 16/12kg) 30 Wall Walks (Event #4: 1 Athlete will Air Bike for Calories while the rest of the team works on reps in Event #5. Each athlete must Air Bike for at least 10 Calories.)(Score for Event #4 will be Max Calories on the Air Bike. ) Event #5: Team may split up reps as they choose. However, each athlete must perform at least 5 WALL WALKS. Score For Event #5 will be time the reps are completed.

Scoring: For Time: Fastest is Better

Event #6 THE REVENGE OF BIG BOB 8 MIN CAP (FLOATER) Event #6: All 4 athletes will push BIG BOB 25m perform a task then push BIG BOB back 25m. Rx Division: perform 40 Toes To Bar + Chest To Bar (1 rep Toes To Bar then 1 rep Chest To Bar) Intermediate Division: perform 40 Toes To Bar Novice/Fun Division: perform 40 Knees Above Hips Each Athlete in EVERY DIVISION must perform 10 reps each. Score for Event #6 (floater) will be the time your team completes the sled push back to the starting position or reps completed.
