2017 Wyoming Affiliate Cup

*$360 per team if registered in May!

·        Hosted by CrossFit 7220 in Laramie Wyoming

·        Saturday June 17th

·        One day event

·        Event starts at 8:00 AM

Teams must be composed of members of a CrossFit affiliate.

·        Each affiliate can register a maximum of 2 teams of 6 people; additional teams will be allowed if space if available after early registration. 

·        New this year** each team will consist of 3 males and 3 females.

·        Cost is $360 per team ($60 per individual)   

All WOD's (but one) will be released 1-2 weeks prior to the event. At least one event will take place at War Memorial Stadium, Home of Wyoming Cowboys!

Athletes will receive a competition T-shirt. 

CrossFit 7220 is an 8000 square foot facility located at 411 South 20th Street, 2 blocks from Washington Park. There is plenty of parking outside of our building. The nearest hotel is the Hilton Garden Inn. The Holiday Inn and Hampton Inn are also just down the road.

Scoring: For Time: Fastest is Better

Team of 6 In co-ed pairs, teams will relay sprint through a bike/row, ramp run, stair ascent, linked arm lunge, and sprint on the field. Time is called when third pair crosses the finish line.

Scoring: For Time: Fastest is Better

Team of 6 Entire team will move heavy and odd objects up the stadium ramp and then back down. Athletes can move the objects however they like. Objects cannot be moved back down the ramp until they are all at the top.

Scoring: For Repetitions: More is Better

Dumbbells Dumbbells Dumbbells Partner WOD (Male/Female) Each workout in Event 2 will be completed by one female and one male athlete from each team. Each team member participates in only one of the three workouts making up Event 2. AMRAP 12 Minutes One athlete working at a time: 30# / 45# Dumbbell front rack lunges x 25 feet 30# / 45# Dumbbell thrusters x 8 30# / 45# Dumbbell ranck lunges x 25 feet Score is total reps (5 feet = 1 rep)

Scoring: For Weight: Heavier is Better

Partner WOD (Male/Female) For total weight. With a 12 minute clock, each athlete has as many chances as necessary to post their heaviest weight in the following 9-rep complex: (Hang Squat Clean + Squat Clean + Shoulder to Overhead) x 3 Grip must be maintained throughout the sequence, no resting the weight on the ground. One athlete works at a time. Score is combined total of each athletes heaviest posted weight. Grip cannot be released from the bar while the bumper plates touch the ground during the full squat clean.

Scoring: For Time: Fastest is Better

Partner workout (Male/Female) 21-15 - 9 Snatches / Burpees, Cleans / Burpees Two stations on either side of the gym, one with a women’s barbell and one with a men’s barbell. Two 35# plates will be exchanged between the two stations throughout the workout. Male athlete will perform 21 power snatches (135#) followed by 21 lateral over-the-bar burpees. Collars and 35# plates will be removed by the male athlete who will transport the plates 25 feet where the female and male athlete will load them onto a bella (35#) barbell. The female athlete will then complete 21 power cleans followed by 21 lateral over-the-bar burpees. Female athlete will transfer weight plates to male athlete’s bar and help load the bar. Repeat this pattern for 15 reps and 9 reps.

Scoring: For Time: Fastest is Better

Team of 6 For total time. Each athlete will carry two KBs through five stations, stopping at each station to complete the reps. Athlete will then carry the KBs back to start line where the next athlete will begin. Station 1: 20 KB Deadlifts (70/53 x 2) Station 2: 15 T2B + 10 C2B Station 3: 12 Burpee Box Overs (20" for all) Station 3: 40 Double Unders or 100 Single Unders Station 4: 30 Wall Balls Time is called when athlete 6 crosses back over start line with KBs in hand.
