Granite Games Spring Throwdown - Boone, NC

Event description

The Granite Games Throwdown gives athletes new to competition an opportunity to challenge themselves and have a blast doing it!

Our 3-person, same gender team setup allows you to step out onto the competition floor with your best lifting buddies to experience the best of both worlds: all the fun of competition, without that nerve-wracking feeling of going it alone!

Pick your division…

Scaled: For those who are new to competing, share a common goal of functional fitness, and are working toward mastering their skills.

Intermediate: The perfect fit for athletes who love the thrill of competition and have a passion for functional fitness, but who don’t typically Rx daily workouts and may not have yet mastered all movements.

Masters: For teams over 40 years, you can select Scaled or Intermediate and place separately against other masters teams.

To set you up for success when you arrive onsite, here’s what you need to know:

Check- In - All athletes must check in at the Check-In Table between 7:30am and 8:45am.  We will begin promptly and will be intentional about staying on schedule as the day unfolds.

Where Am I Going? –  Our address is 643 Greenway Rd, Boone NC 28607.  There are multiple entrances to our facility.  Upon arrival, it's important that you come through the front entrance at our coffee lounge and oly room to check-in.  This is the back/left side of the business park buidling if facing it from Greenway Rd.  It's the only entrance into our facility that has glass doors (the rest are roll-up garage doors).

Parking – Parking in the business lot is limited to ONE CAR PER TEAM.  You'll need to park in the front of the lot and NOT NEAR OUR FACILITY.  Additional parking can be done at the Walmart up the road from us or in the Boone Mall lot, both of which are about 1/4 mile away from our facility.  The space around our facility will be reserved for tents, which will be first-come first-serve, and vendors.  Our staff will be out there to guide you as you arrive.

Come Prepared – You’ll need to provide a valid ID to complete check-in. You'll also want to bring cash or card to take advantage of the drinks, local coffee, apparel, and other vendors present at the event.  We do have a water fountain, child room, changing table, and a refrigerator.  Again, Walmart is walking distance from us.  You already know this, but make sure you have your favorite jump rope, tape, wraps, etc.  and have a plan to keep track of your belongings in your car/tent; with this many competitors in one location, accidental misplacement is inevitable.

No Take-Backs – Life happens—we totally get that. But please be aware that if you cannot participate in the weekend’s events, we cannot offer a refund for any reason.

Trading Places – You can substitute an athlete up until the day of competition!  That athlete will just need to complete a waiver during the registration window on gameday.

T-Shirts - Are included in your teams registration until the shirt deadline, which is Sunday, February 16th at 11:59 pm.
