CORONAVIRUS UPDATE 29-9-2020

Lieve sporters

----

Dear athletes,

At the beginning of this year, we had to make the hard decision to postpone the finals of The Dutch Throwdown. This summer, everything seemed to be getting better and it seemed like our tournameld could take place in October. Unfortunately the developments of the past weeks show us that the Corona-virus is flaring up again.

We are now in the ‘’second wave’’. Yesterday, the Dutch government announced new measures with the main aim of minimizing contact with others. A tournament with more than a thousand participants, spectators and stakeholders from all over Europe is not justified to organize given the current situation. We want to take our responsibility in an era where the risk of contamination is increasing. After talking with the municipality, box owners, sponsors and other parties, we have decided to cancel The Dutch Throwdown this weekend.

Next week, we will take a look at how to deal with this situation. We hope for your understanding of this choice and situation. As soon as there are new developments, we will let you know.

Stay safe, and we hope to see you soon.
