Event description

On September 17, 2016 women across Canada will take part in the first Women Strong Pairs Competition.  At select affiliates across Canada, 10 affiliates will host a women's only functional fitness competition to empower women.  Each affiliate will be driving awareness and much needed funds to a local women's shelter in the host affiliates area.

Teams will consist of 2 women, and they can compete in one of three divisions (RX, Semi Pro, Amateur)

At each host affiliate, you will compete against the other teams within your division.  Top 3 in each division will be recognized. However, you will also see how you match up against the other teams across Canada.

Top Prize: we will provide a random team of two women, free entry into our Women's Strong Retreat, being held on October 20, 2016.  At this retreat, you will have the opportunity to train with, hang out with and be coached by 4 elite athletes. Jenny Labaw, Katie Hogan, Becca Voigt and Sam Briggs.  See what the retreat is all about in the video below:

MOVEMENT STANDARDS



Scoring: For Repetitions: More is Better

8:00 AMRAP 10 Calorie Rows / 12 DB Snatch - Athlete 1 starts on the rower - Athlete 2 starts on DB snatch rx@55 / sp@35 / am@25 Athlete's rotate positions when they complete their cals/reps. They must start each round together at the same time. Score will be their total reps as a team, calories plus snatch reps combined.

Scoring: For Time: Fastest is Better

5 RFT: 5 partner Deadlift 305/265/205 5 burpee hops over under partner Then Cindy in sync with remaining time 5 pullups 10 hand release pushups 15 squats

Scoring: For Repetitions: More is Better

Memory Game Then perform the following. 5 db thrusters@35/25/20 15 m shuttle run down to cards. Memory Game

Scoring: For Weight: Heavier is Better

5:00 to find 1 RM Clean 1 minute rest Then: WOD 4B

Scoring: For Time: Fastest is Better

Double Grace Alternating with partner @ 95/65/55
