Event description

Battle of The Ages creates an event where athletes of all ages and levels can participate in a meaningful way. 

Our four person, mixed decades team concept creates a format of great strategy that draws out many first time competitors. 

Just about everyone will be on a team with someone that they have not competed with before. 

This creates a magical environment that provides long lasting memories for everyone! 

We do have scaled and RX divisions but also create our workouts so that stronger more advanced athletes can do the higher level movements and newer athletes can do the basics. 

Everyone is ready for BOA. 

How to make a team:

Teams of four.

Divisions: Male , Female and Coed 2/2

Teams can be any combo of four different decades. That can be done two ways. 

Four different numerals in the start of the age. Ex. (20,40,50,60) 

Four different birth decades. Ex. (1970's, 1990's, 2000's, 2010's.)

Teams can't be a combination of both. 

* Same Decade

All members of the team must have the first number of the age the same. 

Examples:

Teens - 13, 17, 19, 18 -  Twenties - 21, 22, 27, 29 - Thirties - 30, 33, 37, 39

  • No Refunds 
  • Can substitute members at anytime up to start of event as long as age requirements are met.
  • Bring your tents and a cooler.

 

Scoring: For Weight: Heavier is Better

EVENT - 1 MAX LIFTING
12 Minutes

Team cumulative max clean. Each athlete will get a max. Any type of clean is acceptable. There will only be one bar for the entire team.

Scoring: For Repetitions: More is Better

Equipment

Rogue Echo Dog Sled with plastic ski's - Weight 87 LB

30' Rope

Concept 2 Rower

One athlete will be accumulating calories on the rower for points. Athletes can switch out at anytime. 

There will be a 25' grid broken into 5' sections. The sled will be pushed in one direction and then pulled back by the rope in the opposite direction. 

Every time the sled passes a 5' mark that is a point. 

The weight on the sled will increase every 3 minutes. Athletes will be responsible for adding the weight to the sled at the called time.

Scoring: For Repetitions: More is Better | Tiebreaker: Tiebreak - Time when 3 rounds are complete

With a time cap of 12 Mins.

3 Rounds
20 Pull Ups - Scaled Ring Rows
50 Double Unders - Scaled Singles
20 Burpee Box Jump Overs - Burpee Box Step Overs
20 Dead Lift - (Weight goes up every round)

One athlete must hold the deadlift bar in the top position for reps to count other than when doing the deadlifts. Bar can be passed off w/o having to back to the floor.

Two athletes may not hold the bar together.

If completed before the time cap complete as many bar muscle ups as possible with time remaining. Scaled will be pull ups. Deadlift bar will have to remain in the top position for bar muscle ups to count.

For time with a 10 Min Cap.

Rope climbs between rounds. 5-4-3-2-1

There will be an assault bike accumulating as many calories as possible. This will post as a separate score.

RX 15' Rope

Scaled will start lying on the back and pull up to the standing position then lower back down until shoulder blades touch the deck.

 

Scoring: For Repetitions: More is Better

The calories on the bike for the Thruster - Climb - Bike workout.

This will be completed in the 10 Min time period but scored separatley.

Athletes can change out at any time.
