Onsite Competition for Teams

Event description

This competition is a 2 person same-sex teams (M/M or F/F) no co-ed teams. Two division will be; Novice and Intermediate (RX athletes are welcome) however, there will be NO: HAND STAND WALKS; STRICT HANDSTAND PUSH-UPS; MUSCLE UPS; CHEST TO BAR PULL-UPS; SWIMMING. All other movements could be used. Barbell weight will be manageable in metcons however there may be a 1 rep max lift or complex to test your overall strength. * Prizes for 1st 2nd and 3rd in each division.

* NO REFUNDS FOR THIS COMPETITION but you may change athletes or teams until the first WOD starts!

* Friends and Family FREE and bring food and drink if you want!

* WODS will be published starting approximately 10 days out.

* There will be a floater and a final workout for the top 5 in each division.

4 MINUTE ROW FOR CALORIES AS START OF THE FIRST WOD!

Scoring: For Weight: Heavier is Better | Tiebreaker: Total number of Deadlifts at the failed weight.

Barbell complex of: 1 Squat clean (a power clean and front squat is allowed) + 1 Front squat + 1 thruster.

Each athlete will work through a set ladder of weights.  You will have :45 seconds to accomplish the complex or tie break. Then have :15 seconds to transition to the next heaviest weighted bar.

A new athlete will start the ladder every minute.

Every athlete will also perform the tie-break consisting of an AMRAP of deadlifts performed at your failed complex weight OR at the completion of the ladder. 

2 options at each barbell.  Attempt the weight and if successful transition to the new weight, if you fail you may re-attempt or start your tie-break by informing your judge you are now doing the tie break deadlifts for the remaining time of the :45 seconds.  If you move to a bar and wish to start your tie-break immediately, inform your judge before starting and you will have the entire :45 sec to perform tie-break deadlifts and your ladder will then be completed.

SCORE is combined weight of each athletes successful complex. Tie-break is the combined number of deadlifts at each athletes failed weight.

Score is for time; if not completed in the 12 min cap, add 1 second to 12:00 for every rep not completed in the cap.

2 MINUTE AMRAP FOR REPS.  Combine cal on the ski erg and reps of sand bag throws.

One athlete starts on the ski erg and one athlete will start on the sand bag throws.  At the one minute mark athletes will switch.

Ski erg will be set to count calories for exactly two minutes.

Sand bag weights: INT 150/100 (nov 100/70)

Height of throw will be APPROX: Men 4 ft  Woman 3 1/2 ft.
