Divergent CrossFit presents a Barbell For Boobs fundraising competition - a throwdown against Cancer because No One Fights Alone! This fun throwdown will challenge athletes to not test their skills and strength on the competition floor but also in fundraising efforts.

1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.

1 TEAM - 2 Same Gender Partners

All workouts and movement standards will be posted in the next week! The floater will be announced at the competition. 

Registration for each team to FUNDRAISE or DONATE $150 for a great cause (link: Barbell4Boobs)! This will include a Pharmacy Barbell for Boobs Shirt for men and Tank for women. As a cool added bonus...you can earn the 2019 BBFB tiedye shirt from the fundraising.

Intermediate: For those who are new to competing, share a common goal of functional fitness, and are working toward mastering their skills.

Rx: The perfect fit for athletes who love the thrill of competition and generally Rx daily workouts.

Barbell For Boobs wants to redefine the standard of care in breast health and improve quality of life post diagnosis.

They provide education on the significant benefits of fitness and support to access responsible and safe fitness instruction for those directly impacted by breast cancer.

Engaging in consistent physical activity has been proven an effective intervention to:

1) Reduce breast cancer risk.
2) Reduce the prevalence and severity of adverse effects during breast cancer treatment.
3) Reduce post-treatment relative risks of recurrence, breast cancer mortality and all cause mortality.

The format of the competition will be a 2-person, same gender team setup so grab your partner and get ready to throwdown.

Scoring: For Weight: Heavier is Better

Workout #2: (10 minutes total)

Partner #1 will have 5 minutes to find 2RM Hang Snatches

-then in the following 5 minutes:

Partner #2 will have 5 minutes to find 2RM Hang Clean and Jerks

 

Score is total combined weight for both movements. Bar must be empty to start the workout. Partners may help each other load weight.
