It's Back, it's the 2019 installment of the Sussex Games! 

 

The Sussex Games is an all-inclusive mixed pairs competition designed to celebrate the local fitness community. 

The workouts test your team's fitness, strength, and communication.

 

It's a full fun day hosted here at MVMT42 in Findon, Sussex. 

 

 

Scoring: For Repetitions: More is Better

TIME CAP: 20 Mins

Athletes will complete as many rounds as possible in the time cap, each athlete will complete the rep round before moving up the ladder.

Ascending rep Ladder 1-2-3-4-5-6...

Squat Burpees

Scoring: For Weight: Heavier is Better

TIME CAP: 8 MINS

Athletes will have 4 minutes each to complete a barbell complex to a maximum weight.

RX:

1 Hang Power Snatch + 1 Hang Snatch + 1 Overhead Squat

Scaled:

1 Hang Power Clean + 1 Hang Clean + 1 Shoulder to Overhead

The score will be the combined total weight lifted from each partner.

Scoring: For Repetitions: More is Better

TIME CAP: 14 MINS

Athletes will complete 2 seperate 6 minute AMRAPs with a 2 minute mandatory rest in between both workouts.

RX:

Part 1 - MAX Calorie Row (Every minute starting at 0:00 complete 5 syncro Burpees)

Part 2 - 12 Handstand Push-Ups, 12 Box Jumps (24/20") & 12 Toes-to-Bar 

Scaled:

Part 1 - MAX Calorie Row (Every minute starting at 0:00 complete 5 syncro Burpees)

Part 2 - 12 Push-Ups, 12 Box Jumps (20/16") & 12 Knee Raises

Scoring: For Repetitions: More is Better

TIME CAP: 14 MINS

FOR TIME OR TIME CAP: 18 MINS

Athletes will work through the excerises & reps to complete the workout as quickly as possible.

80-60-40-20:

80 Dumbbell Snatch / 60 Dumbbell Box Overs / 40 Dumbbell Clean & Jerk / 20 Dumbbell Lunges

With 50 Double Unders/Skips between rounds

RX:

Dumbbell - 20/15kg

Scaled:

Dumbbell - 15/10kg

 

*Dumbbell must always be held, if the dumbbell touches the floor (unless to do the DUs/Skips) there is a 15 second time penalty for each time.
