Onsite Competition for Teams

Event description

Returning to Manchester for the third time, we’re bringing an even bigger and better competition to our Northern home. 

No qualifiers, no advanced gymnastics, and no extreme standards, our workouts are designed so that professional athletes may compete next to experienced gym-goers, first-timers and cancer survivors. 

Standards are as follows for men/women, all weights are in kilograms:

Kettlebell 24/16, Dumbbell 20/15, Plates 20/15, Slam Balls 50/30, Wall Balls 9/6

Expect our iconic Battle Cancer live DJ sets, mass warm up and incredible vibe, along with special guests, food vendors and brand partners under the industrial arches of Victoria Warehouse.

If one of the team is injured or unable to compete for any reason, you can just bring a replacement on the day. We only ask that the new athlete or athletes sign a waiver to compete. We cannot change the t-shirt size requested. Teams of four only - no extra substitutes.

Part A ( For Time)

Synchro Sit Ups

*Resting pair hold plank

2 athletes run out. At the end of their lane then complete synchro sit ups. Sit Up. Touch the floor behind the athlete’s head followed by touching their toes. Synchronising here in both athletes touching their toes at the same time.

Athletes then run back, and the next pair of athletes head out and repeat.

Scoring: For Repetitions: More is Better

In the time remaining after Part A has been completed teams must complete as many partners carries as possible. 1 athlete carrying the other any how the length of the lane. Once both feet cross the line they can head back.

Not all athletes have to carry or be the carrier.

At the end of the first 10 minutes for WOD 2 teams must move all equipment back to their lane store before starting WOD 3.
