Onsite Competition for Teams

Event description

*Formerly known as "Team Turmoil" in 2018. We are unifying competitions at Orangeville/Athlete Institute to run all competitions under one brand.*

Our goal is to give competitors an opportunity to showcase their skills, strength, power, and stamina across broad domains. Same-sex teams of 2 will compete in 3-4 events throughout the competition. There will be 2 divisions for this competition - Competitive and Recreational

Spaces will be limited

Registration includes athlete goody bag (t-shirts and team sign) and lunch.

Competitive Division Standards:

Deadlift (225/155)
Clean and Jerk (165/115)
Front Squat (185/125)
Chest to Bar Pull-ups
Handstand Push-ups (Kipping)
Toes to Bar
Wall Ball (20/14)
Assault Bike
Running (weather permitting - rowing if inclement weather)

Recreation Division Standards:

Deadlift (185/125)
Clean and Jerk (135/95)
Front Squat (165/115)
Pull-ups OR Russian Kettlebell Swings (24/16kg)
Hand-release Push-ups
Med Ball Sit-ups
Wall Ball (14/10)
Assault Bike
Running (weather permitting - rowing if inclement weather)

Scoring: For Time: Fastest is Better | Time Cap: 12

Assault D.T. - Time

Partners must complete 10 total rounds (alternating) of:

12 Deadlift
9 Hang Power Clean
6 Push Jerk

Partners must switch after completing every round. One partner is completing a round of the barbell movements while the other partner is simultaneously accumulating Assault Bike calories (separate score).

If all 10 rounds are completed under the 12 minute time cap, both partners will work together to accumulate as many Assault Bike calories in the remaining time as possible.

Competitive: 155/105lbs.

Recreation
*Note, weights will increase after rounds 4 and 8 as follows (Recreation division only):

Recreation Men
Rounds 1-4: 95lbs.
Rounds 5-8: 115lbs.
Rounds 9&10: 125lbs.

Recreation Women
Rounds 1-4: 65lbs.
Rounds 5-8: 75lbs.
Rounds 9&10: 85lbs.

Scoring: For Repetitions: More is Better

Assault D.T. - Time

Scoring: For Weight: Heavier is Better

Partners will have 10 minutes to establish a 3-rep max front squat for both partners.

Score is combined weight total for both partners.

The barbell must start on the floor. The first front squat may be a squat clean, as long as all 3 front squats pass through full range of motion with the barbell in the front rack position.

Scoring: For Repetitions: More is Better

Immediately following the 3-Rep Max Front Squat, partners will then complete an 8-minute AMRAP of the following:

8 D-Ball Squats (Partner A)
8 Synchro Chest-to-Bar Pull-ups*
8 Handstand Push-ups (Partner B)

8 D-Ball Squats (Partner B)
8 Synchro Chest-to-Bar Pull-ups*
8 Handstand Push-ups (Partner A)

Score is total repetitions

Competitive: 125/70lbs. D-Ball Squats
Recreation: 80/50lbs. D-Ball Squats, Chin Over Bar Pull-ups

*There will be an alternative to synchro pull-ups (Recreation division only). BOTH partners must complete 8 Synchro Russian Kettlebell Swings (24/16kg), AND 8 Synchro Burpees in place of 8 Synchro Chin Over Bar Pull-ups.

Scoring: For Time: Fastest is Better | Time Cap: 14

For time:
50 Wall Ball
25 Toes to Bar*
400m Run (with med ball)**

One partner completes the entire workout before passing their team's med ball off to their partner who then also completes the same workout.

The score is the total time it takes both partners to complete.

Competitive: 20/14lbs. med ball
Recreation: 14/10lbs. med ball

*Recreation division will complete 25 med ball sit-ups in place of 25 toes to bar.

**In the event of inclement weather, athletes will be rowing 500m (without the med ball) instead of running 400m.
