Event description

Academy Fitness CIC in partnership with BoxLife Events brings you the first 'Adaptive Games' to be held during the Battle of Britain over Easter weekend 19th - 21st April 2019. 

The Adaptive Games will be a one day event taking place on Saturday 20th April and will see athletes compete in 4 events.   The events have been adapted from the JST programming designed for BoB.  

There will be 2 categories in the Adaptive Division - Standing and Seated. 

Seated 

The Seated division is for all adaptive athletes that perform the majority of their workouts in a seated position. Athlete able to perform exercises standing will not be eligible for seated division.  

Higher & Lower function level athletes will be classified as:
Higher – Unable to use abdominal muscles or below ie. T-7 -C-1 impaired
Lower -Access to all or some abdominal, hip flexors ie T-8 to amputee
The Higher athletes will receive % deductions on prescribed weights. 

Standing

The Standing division is for all adaptive athletes that perform the majority of their workouts in a standing position.  Single Arm & Single leg athletes will be classified as 1 point of contact on the equipment or floor. These athletes will receive % deductions on prescribed weights.

Event 1 (Standing)

1 Rope Ascent

7 Hand Stand Push Up

14 pistol squat. Alternating

2 Rounds:

100 double unders

12 Dball over the shoulder 100/ 70

Farmer’s walk

 

Event 1 (seated)

10 rope Pull ups

10 Dumbell STO 50/35 (x2 dumbells)

14 Dumbell snatch, alternating 50/35

-then-

2 rounds

70 battle rope whips

Dball from box to shoulder 100/70

Sled pull (if available, if not, perform seated shuttle w/ dumbells)

Event 2 (Standing)

Run 800m

Row 30 cal

21 Burpees

Row 20 cal

15 burpees

Row 10 cal

9 burpees

 

Event 2 (Seated)

Roll 600m

Locked seat row 20 cal

21 ball slams

Locked seat row 15 cal

15 ball slams

Locked seat row 10 cal

9 ball slam

Event 3 (Standing)

Run 400m

Event 3 (seated)

Ski Erg 500m

16 Russian twist w/ med ball 20/14

22 dips

Ski 40 cal

4 bar MU/ 12 C2B pull ups

16 Chair to box transfer
