Upland is excited to host there first open to the public competition! We encourage all ters and spectators to join us as we put our fitness to the test. First briefing will be held at 8am sharp with event 1 following shortly after. Arrive early to check in and claim a spot in the athlete area (easy ups are ok). Parking is FREE!

"Step on the gas"

Then for the remainder of the time:

Movement standards and wod description:

1A

- As a team, complete 21 calories on the bike. One partner can do them all, or you can split them up however you like. The bike must read zero before each set, it can be reset at any time.

- Then both Partners complete 21 burpees, synchronized. Both athletes chest and thighs must touch the ground at the same time, and both Partners must jump over the bar at the same time. 2-foot take off is required.

- Same with 15 and 9. When you're done, you will have done a total of 45 Cals on the bike and 90 burpees.

Then, with the remainder of the seven minutes:

1B

Complete as many thrusters as possible. You will have one bar. Split the Reps up however you like. The bar starts on the ground for the first Thruster, and can be squat cleaned, as long as athlete reaches full depth in their squat. Hips must pass below parallel on every rep. Athlete must be at full extension and bar must be completely locked out overhead for the rep to count.

1A score will be your time you take to complete it. If you don't complete the WOD, the Reps you didn't complete will be added to your time. So if you finished the 9 cals on the bike, and 3 bar facing burpees, your score would be 7:12

1B score is the number of thrusters get with the remainder of the time.

In the event of a tie the team that finished 1A faster would get the higher rank.

WOD Discription and standards

Teams will have 6 minutes for both athletes to find a heavy 3 rep max.

Athletes start with empty barbell. At 3,2,1 go teamates may load barbell as a team for each partners lifts.

Reps must be touch and go. Athletes can not drop barbell in between reps. If barbell is dropped it will be a no rep and athlete must start the 3 reps over.

Score is teams total combined weight.

SNATCH-

This lift can be squat, power or muscle snatch. Athletes must be at full extension with elbows and knees locked out and hips completely open with barbell over head for rep to be given.

CLEAN & JERK-

Clean- may be power or squat.

Jerk- athletes must receive lift in partial over head squat then stand tall to full extension for rep to be given.

Scoring: For Repetitions: More is Better | Tiebreaker: First set of KB swings complete

Each team has 8 min to complete as many reps as possible. Teams can split up reps as they choose. The workout begins with a "Buy in" of 100 double unders or 100 singles for scaled. After the buy in is complete the teams may start earning reps. Buy in reps DO NOT count towards final score.

Teams must hand off both the kettle bell and the barbell for the hang cleans. Once the KB or barbell is picked up from the ground it may not touch the floor again intill all reps are complete. If they touch the floor the team must re-do the buy in! Then they can pick up where they left off.
