Onsite Competition for Teams

Event description

TEAM REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED.

  • Tribal Clash is a two-day competition for teams of 6 athletes. The teams must consist of 3 men and 3 women.
  • You do not have to have your full team of 6 at the time of registration. You can assemble your team all the way until team check-in on Friday 8th February.
  • You can substitute athletes at any time as many times as you like, until team check-in on Friday 8th February.

  • Parking is very limited near Wollongong North Beach. Please use available public car parks nearby and consider car sharing!

12 minute AMRAP of:

25 log worm squats (6 athletes working)

10 synchro burpees over the worm (3 athletes working)

Scoring: For Time: Fastest is Better

Team sea swim with rescue board

Straight into:

Individual trail run

Scoring: For Repetitions: More is Better

12 minute AMRAP of:

Lift and shift 5 x 60kg sandbags and 1 tyre over beams. Athletes must also travel over beams. 1 rep = 1 object and 1 person from one end of lane to the other. 

Scoring: For Time: Fastest is Better | Tiebreaker: Sprint time

Individual sprint relay around arena

Followed by:

Paired wheelbarrow walk up and down lane. 

Straight into Event 5 (20 minute time cap for Event 4 & Event 5)

Team log worm lunge around the arena

Scoring: For Repetitions: More is Better

Teams split into 3 M/F pairs

Within a 90 second interval, pairs complete an up and over each followed by synchro atlas stone lifts:
3 x lightest stone (42kg/66kg) - 1 point per synchro lift
2 x middle stone (52kg/77kg) - 3 points per synchro lift 
1 x heaviest stone (66kg/97kg) - 5 points per synchro lift

Each pair goes three times (3 x 90 second intervals each)

Scoring: For Repetitions: More is Better | Tiebreaker: Second pair's tyre flips

Divide into pairs and in relay style each pair completes:

Tyre flip

10 burpee tyre jump throughs

Sea submerge

10 burpee tyre jump throughts

Tyre flip

Once all pairs have completed the work, three athletes complete max reps tyre STOH in time remaining, with a 12 minute time cap.

Team stand up paddle board race on Red Paddle Co XL board. 

Scoring: For Repetitions: More is Better

12 minute AMRAP of:

18 sandworm GTOH

9 rope climbs

Scoring: For Repetitions: More is Better

Tug-of-war for top 18 teams. 

Team finishing the main events in 1st place pulls against team in 18th place, 2nd pulls against 17th etc.

Winner of each tug-of-war contest goes through to the final. 

Scoring: For Time: Fastest is Better | Time Cap: 30 | Tiebreaker: Reps

Move objects include atlas stones, sandbags, a tyre and log worm down to the shoreline. Each athlete must complete two up and overs, swim round a marked course then complete the previous work in reverse.

Time stops when the winner crosses the line.
