Event description

The Sussex Games is now in its 6th instalment. 

Hosted here at MVMT42 HQ, we offer a fitness competition for mixed pairs. There are 2 divisions, RX and Scaled. 

Our mission is to deliver a fun, inclusive and scalable fitness competition.

We aim to push those more experienced athletes as they fight to become the fittest pair in Sussex.

 

To complete RX, one person from each pair must be able to do:

  • Double Unders
  • Pull Ups
  • Thrusters 40/30 
  • Cleans 60/40
  • Full depth overhead squat
  • Run 

Scaled will be tailored on the day to ensure every athlete has fun in a safe and challenging way. 

 

Pets, friends and family are welcome on the day. A BBQ, coffee and snacks will be available. 

 

On registration of the team, please note the team space is non-refundable. However, changes can be made to the team members. 

Scoring: For Time: Fastest is Better

4 x 400 trial run (4 laps each) for time

Scoring: For Weight: Heavier is Better

Workout 2 is a complex. 

6min to establish a max lift for the male and female. The scores are added together:


RX: 2 Hang Clean + 2 S2OH 

 

Scaled: 2 Power Clean + 2 S2OH

Scoring: For Repetitions: More is Better

Workout 3 is scored in max reps. 

 

Over a 2 minute window, you will complete the required work on the assault bike. Then in the time left complete max reps of the lift in your division.

The rep requirement is: 

RX: Male - snatch or power snatch // Female - clean or power clean

 

Scaled: Male - clean or power clean // Female - Deadlift

 

The movements and the work on a bike can be complete by either athlete. The bike cals are not scored.
