Welcome to The Great Aloha Games 2018

brought to you by Aloha & Aloha Kihei !!

 

Please join us in another year of competitive fun with MIXED TEAMS OF 4 ATHLETES(MM/FF) comprised of 2 Divisions, (Open = RX & Local = Scaled), all under one island, under one Box, to compete for bragging rights, great prizes, for a Great cause all at the same time of putting our fitness to the test.

 

Event will be held on Saturday September 1st, Labor Day Weekend from 8a-5p.

1st Place in the Open (RX) Division will receive $1000 cash prize.

1st Place in the Local (Scaled) Division will receive $500 cash prize.

 

Proceeds will go to the Keiki (kids) program held at both Aloha locations where no child has to pay for a membership at any one of our Boxes. Inspired by Poipu in their support for the youth of Hawai'i.

S1- Assualt Bike Calories

 

S2- Tandem Wall Ball Shots to 10' Target (14/10)

 

S3- *Chin Over Bar Pull-Ups

*Partner Hang while Partner works towards reps.

 

S4- *Box Jump Overs (24/20) Step Up and Over is allowed.

*Partner Plank (any plank) while Partner works towards reps.

 

S5- *Alternating Dumbell Snatches (35/20)

*Partner performs an Overhead Single Arm Hold (35/20) while Partner works towards reps.

 

S6- *KB Goblet Squats (53/35)

*Partner performs and sits in an (35/unweighted) squat hold while Partner works towards reps.

20 Rounds Total of DT (FF/MM)

Shared between FF as they Start & complete 10 Rds

then..... MM Pair can begin their 10 Rds. with remaining time.

Local (115/80)

Entire Team will be in a Tagging Zone. On Go... the FF Pair will exit towards a preloaded bar of their DT. FF Pair can break up the movments in any rep scheme or strategy just as long as in order of the DT round. 

Once 10 Rds by FF & 10 Rds by MM is completed with the remaining time they will go for a *1 Rep Max Clean & Jerk.

*The FF will get First chance once the MM completes their DT. Your DT weight will be your starting weight unless you choose to add. The FF can go back and forth on attempts but once they TAG the MM, the FF Pair will be completedly done with the wod and cannot go back in. Any time still remaining the MM Pair will use to complete a load total between them both as well. If time permits!!

A 2 Part Workout

23 Minute Time Cap

Part A. 

20 Rounds of DT (FF/MM) (105/155)

Start w/FF, needs to complete 10 Rounds of DT

(DT = 12 Deadlifts, 9 Hang Power Cleans, 6 Push Jerks)

DT Rounds can be broken up and done in any way as long as movement standards are met.

Once the FF Pair completes their 10 Rds they will re-enter the “Tagging Zone” and then the MM Pair will start their,

10 Rounds of DT  

Once Completed;

Any Time Remaining.....

Part B.

1 Rep Max Clean & Jerk (FF/MM)

Total Load Between All 4 Athletes of (each) Best Completed Lift.

*Once MM Pair completes their DT they will re-enter the “Tagging Zone” and then the FF Pair can start their 1 Rep Max Attempts. 

Once the FF Pair is done they will re-enter the “Tagging Zone” so the MM Pair can start to work on their 1 Rep Max C&J. 

Within the 23 Minute Time Cap.

Once Both Pairs complete the work needed they will move on to...

Athlete 1 (P1) will do a 25' Wheel Barrow crawl towards P2

then...

Athlete 1 (P2) will perform 25' Wheel Barrow crawl.

Once completed

An Athlete will pick up a sand bag (70/50) and perform

a 200M weighted run with sandbag.

Once Athlete returns another athlete will also perform a 200M weighted run.

*While Athletes are outside running the total of 400M. 

The Athletes inside will perfrom 50 Kipping HSPU.

Once Run & HSPU are completed Pairs will start another Round of;

50' Wheel Barrow Crawls

400M Weighted (70/50) Run in 200M increments.

*While again completing 50 Kipping HSPU

Once the 2nd Full Round of weighted runs & kipping HSPU are completed, the Foursome will move on to....

25 Rope Climbs to 12' Mark.

**Last Team out of Final 5 will be eliminated if & when they get to the Rope and NO ROPE IS AVAILABLE.

P1 MF will start on;

25 Toes To Bars Each followed by...

P2 MF will start on;

25 GHD Sit Ups Each followed by...

Once both complete work expected....

P1 (1) Athlete will start 25' Handstand Walks to the side where P2 was working & waiting.

Once P1 Athlete reaches, P2 (1) Athlete will begin their 25' Handstand Walks to where P1 (2) is waiting. 

Once completed (1) Athlete will pick up and perform a weighted sandbag run (70/50) of 200M. 

At this time Athlete is running, the Team of 3 can start to chip away at 50 Strict HSPU. 

*When 1st 200M run is performed another 200M weighted run is also needed to be done.

Once Runs and Strict HSPU are completed Athletes will begin a 2nd round of;

50' HS Walks then...

2x 200M Weighted Runs (70/50)

While Team chips away at completeing 50 Strict HSPU.

Once the 2nd Round of Runs & HSPU are completed,

as a Foursome they will move on to complete;

25 Rope Climbs to a 15' Mark.

 

*Elimination will occur after the 4/5 Teams reach the Rope. Eliminating the 5th Team from the event.
