" BARBELLAS " (FFF) 3-person team (Women Only) functional fitness/CF competition

When: Saturday, July 7th. 8AM-2PM

Where: Pacesetter CrossFit 4130 E La Palma Ave, Anaheim, CA 92806

BARBELLAS is a 3-person, women only, functional fitness team competition for athletes of all skill levels. At and hosted by Pacesetter CrossFit. 

We are excited to present our 1st ever, LADIES ONLY, team competition event to the WAL series.  Whether your are new to CF, or a veteran crossfitter, this event is for YOU!    Grab 2 friends and build your power team. Register early, this event will sell out fast.

Registration: $70 per person (+tax and processing fees). Entry fee covers: Team entry fee for 3 persons, 4+ separate scored events, (3) exclusive event tank, sponsor goodies at check-in, access to a huge vendor village, and an opportunity to prove your fitness in front of family, friends, in the loudest and most encouraging crowd of Orange County with massive prize packs for podium teams! Each team who registers before 6/24 will receive a Team Name Plate courtesy of SignsRx.

3 DIVISIONS:  One person on your team must be able to perform the following movements:

Advanced/RX: Able to perform all loads/ movements without modification: Chest to bar pull ups, Bar Muscle Ups, Toes to bar, Rope Climb, double-unders, Clean & Jerks 125#. Snatch 105#. Thruster 85#. Deadlift 155#.

Intermediate: Need to sometimes modify load/movements: Chin-Over bar pull ups, Toes to bar, Rope climb or rope climb progressions, double-unders, Clean & Jerks 85#. Snatch 75#. Thruster 65#. Deadlift 135#.

FUN: Beginner/ New to CF: Needs to modifty loads/movements: Chin-over bar jumping pull ups, Hanging Knee Ups, Rope climb progressions, single-unders, Clean & Jerks 65#. Snatch 45#. Thruster 55#. Deadlift 105#.

One person registers and pays for the team (team captain). Have team members' names, emails, shirt sizes, birthdates, etc. available when registering.

50 Partner Deadlift, Rx 235#, INT 205#, FUN 175#

40 Partner Wallballs over pull up bar (8-feet high),

                     Rx 30#, INT 20#, FUN 14#

30 Partner bar facing burpees

20 Bar Muscle Ups (INT Toes to bar, FUN hanging knee ups) / A2: bar hang hold

 

EVENT 2* -  "RIDE or DIE" (PART B) - MAX CAL Bike

 

(EVENT 1 and EVENT 2 will be performed simultaneously and will be scored separately.)*

 

EVENT 3 – “ROPE-A-DOPE

As many repetitions as possible in 7 minutes:

8 Alternating DB snatch, 50#/35#/20#

20 feet OH DB walking lunges

1-Rope climb Ascent**

 

Athlete must complete entire round before switching

** INT 1 Rope climb ascent or (4) Rope climb progressions

** FUN (4) Rope climb progressions)

 

EVENT 4 – “MONKEY BUSINESS” - MYSTERY Workout. Details TBA on event day. Be prepared for the unknown.

EVENT 3 – “ROPE-A-DOPE

As many repetitions as possible in 7 minutes:

8 Alternating DB snatch, 50#/35#/20#

20 feet OH DB walking lunges

1 rope climb ascent**

 

Athlete must complete 1 entire round before switching

**INT - 1 Rope climb ascent or (4) rope climb progressions

**FUN - (3) Rope climb progressions

 

Workout Description: On 3-2-1..Go!  Athlete 1 will enter grid and perform chipper of 8 alternating DB snatch, 20 feet OH DB walking lunges, and 1- rope climb ascent.  At end of round, A1 may tag A2 into grid and A2 will perform movements as A1. This will continue in a round robin fashion with all athletes until time cap expires.  INT division may perform 1-rope climb or 4-rope climb progressions. FUN division will perform 3-rope climb progressions in lieu of rope climb. See demo video in regards to rope climb progressions.

Mystery Workout. Details to be announced on day of event. Be prepared for the unknown. Floater workout. Must be competed between 8:45 AM - 11:30 AM. First come-first serve basis.

EVENT 5 – “TRAINWRECK” 

Team Snatch Ladder: As many reps as possible in 45 seconds

Workout Description: On 3-2-1..Go! Entire team will approach pre-set barbell and perform as many repetitions as possible under the allotted time (45 seconds). At the end of 45 seconds, team will transition to the next barbell. There is a 15 second transition period between barbells.  This will continue to until team fails and is unable to perform at least 1 repetition at station as a team. No minimal work required per athlete.  A minimum of 1-repetition is required by team at given station for team to advance.  Barbells are pre-set and increases in weight at each station. Score is sum of repetitions competed.
