What: WAR of the ROSES 4-person (MM+FF) co-ed  Functional Fitness/ CF Team Competition

When: Saturday, August 11th. 8AM-1PM

WAR of the ROSES is a 4-person, co-ed (2 Men and 2 Women), functional fitness team competition for athletes of all skill levels. Test your fitness, strength, and skills in GRID style team competition. $1000 cash purse up for grabs in the Advanced Division and Title WOTR World Champions!

4 DIVISIONS:  Teams consist of 4 persons (2 Men + 2 Women) - Advanced. Intermediate. MASTERS 38+ All team members must be born in 1980 or earlier (If less than 5 teams registered, Masters teams will be placed into INT division. FUN division.

TO REGISTER:

One person registers and pays for the team (team captain). Have team members' names, emails, shirt sizes, birthdates, etc. available when registering.

Scoring: For Repetitions: More is Better

Team will perform as many repetitions as possible in 12 minutes  -  Team Max Calorie Ski Erg

This event will be performed simultaneously with "PIT of DESPAIR" Part B.

Scoring: For Repetitions: More is Better

In M/F pairs, perform as many repetitions as possible in 12 minutes:

20 Clean & Jerks, while A2 performs barbell deadlift hold
30 Front Squats, while A2 performs front rack barbell hold
15 Handstand Push-ups, while A2 performs handstand hold

Rx 155/105, INT 135/75, M38+ 135/85, FUN 95/55

INT/MASTERS: Handstand Push-ups, with Handstand holds, with the following modifications: Men will perform HSPU with 1 ab mat, while women will perform HSPU with 2 ab mats.

FUN: HSPU and HS HOLDS, will be substituted with Hand-release push ups, and plank holds, presectively.

This event will be performed simultaneously with "PIT of DESPAIR" Part A.

EVENT 2 - PART I : MYSTERY WOD. Be prepared for the unknown and unknowable.  Deatils TBA on day of event.

 

Scoring: For Weight: Heavier is Better

Men have 3 MINUTES combined to each find their:

 1 REP MAX SNATCH

Each athlete will have up to 3 attempts max to find their 1 rep max snatch.  The heaviest lift perform by each male athlete will be combined to create a total score for Event 2 Part II.

Scoring: For Weight: Heavier is Better

Women as a team will have 3 minutes total foe each female athlete to establish a heavy 3 rep max thruster. 

Each athlete will have up to 3 attempts max to their 3-rep max thruster.  Heaviest successful 3RM thruster lift performed by each female will be added to create a score for Event 2 Part III.
